Ghost
Something moved
Where something was not
I braved a march forward
Nothing
I turned and thrashed my arms
My breathing covered all noise
Then my path was blocked
Nothing
Torchlight revealed an empty room
A heartbeat threatened to break my ribs
I turned to a slamming door
Nothing
Something definitely moved
Where something was not
And again I marched straight at it
Nothing
Shaking helped me nought
Something pushed me back
Torchlight failed
Something
Trembling but still aware
I knew
Something moved
Ghost
I was there
Something moved
Where something was not
