A Little Bud

Attest the warm sun and breathe
Tight as, in your splendid dawn
A new life with challenges
For the morning’s newborn

Some will live and some will die
But this blooming little marvel waits
For the perfect springtime debut
Avoiding natural foliage fates

And today beckons so bright
My bud has finally flowered
With all his little gorgeous mates
Now in floral gifts I’m showered
